school staff and students would like to thank Aaron Holloway from the Pacific
Transnational Crime Network who spoke to the Years 5 to 8 students about
keeping safe on the internet. The workshops were awesome and Aaron
imparted the appropriate rules required when using the internet.
Aaron
has great skills and knowledge around social media and online issues as this
was part of his work in New Zealand with the New Zealand Police.
At
this morning's workshop we discovered that the students in the Year 7 and 8
class use a combined total of 22 different types of social media. We all
know about facebook but are you familiar with Vines, Shazam or Kick?
If
