Introducing Scientist - Leata
Yum yum, you might get hungry reading about this project. Year 6 scientist Leata experimented if the colour of a cupcake makes a difference when people select which one to take. She divided the 16 participants into 4 age groups. She had three different light coloured cupcakes (pink, yellow and orange) and three darker coloured cupcakes (red, blue and green). She then recorded the results and displayed in a rather fancy graph! Her results disproved her original hypothesis that most people’s perception of taste will be based on the colour of the food. Even though she didn’t have any cupcakes for the judges she still managed to take first place in the Year 6 section. Malo le tauivi!
