Timara, a year 5 Scientist wanted to find out if hot water
freezes faster than cold water. She enjoyed
completing this experiment and had lots of fun.
Her experiment included getting 1 cup of hot water in a bowl and then 1
cup of cold water. She then placed the
bowls in the freezer on the same shelf.
Now this is the interesting part, the bowl with the hot water froze
faster. Why? You might ask, well Timara will be able to
explain to you all about the Mpemba effect.
So next time you are filling up the ice tray, use hot water and you will
have ice faster. How interesting!!
